Welcome to Arabic Calligraphy Design. I practice traditional and contemporary Arabic calligraphy, and do custom calligraphy for tattoos, design work, and original pieces. All my work is hand-written, I do not use computer fonts in my designs. To get started, have a look at the Styles page to see some of the different styles I normally work in, or if you’re interested in a tattoo, click the Tattoos page. When you’re ready, send me an email at arabic.calligrapher@gmail.com, and we can work together on what you’d like designed.

Hip Hop Calligraphy

This is a little side project I'm working on: iconic hip hop lyrics written in traditional Arabic calligraphy. I started this project as a fun way to challenge perceptions of what calligraphy is "supposed to be".

I'll be expanding on this collection so check back for new pieces!

They are available in 3 sizes: 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14. I am happy to ship them framed or unframed.  All start at $10 and max out at $30 for unframed pieces.

All prints are available with ebru borders. The ebru I use is hand-made by me and then scanned at 300dpi; I marble paper in the traditional fashion, on a thickened water with water-based natural pigments, and has been used for bordering Arabic calligraphy for hundreds of years.

All calligraphy is hand-written with a reed pen and scanned at 300dpi.

They are printed professionally on a luster-coated paper.
