Siyuti's Duas
Jallaluddin al-Siyuti in his work of day and night Wrote:
Sulus calligraphy reads:
O God, truly I seek refuge in You from worry and sadness.
I seek refuge in You from inability and laziness.
I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness.
I seek refuge in You from overwhelming debt and from the oppression of men.
Nesih calligraphy reads:
O God, I ask you for the divine success of the people of guidance, the deeds of the people of certainty, the sincerity of the people of repentance, the resolve of the people of patience, the seriousness of the people of dread, the enthusiasm of the people of zeal, the devotion of the people of scrupulousness, and the gnosis of the people of knowledge so that I fear you. O God, I ask You for fear that protects me from disobeying You so that I perform deeds in obedience to You that make me deserving of Your pleasure, so that I am sincere to You in repentance out of fear of You, so that I make my intention purely for You and attain Your place of safety and so that I place my trust in you in all affairs. O God, make good my belief in You. Glory be to You, Creator of light. -From .
